Scarves should be dry cleaned or hand washed only.
Hand Wash Instructions
Use mild/gentle detergent. With makeup and oil stains, pre-treat, dabbing the stains with the detergent. Gently ease it into the fabric using the fingers. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes before.
Set a timer for 4 mins. You can’t leave silk in soapy water for long. Place the silk in cool water (either in your sink or a large bowl). Swish and swirl the scarf around gently.
Rinse scarves in cold water three times to keep it soft and silky.
Dry on a cotton towel first. Lay the towel on a flat surface. Then place the scarf on the towel. Make sure you straighten out all corners.
Gently roll up the towel with your scarf, pressing as you roll. Press down on the rolled-up towel to absorb excess water. Then unroll the towel and air dry on a flat dry rack or other flat surface.
If possible, dry rapidly in front of an electric fan to keep the scarf’s glossy finish and prevent watermarks.
Store your scarves in a cool, dry and dark place
Fold them and use non-acid tissue paper to soften the folds. Or you can hang them with a padded hanger
Lavender-filled sachets keep insects off the silk fibers
If you live in a humid area, put a dehumidifying agent near your scarf
Always handle your silk scarves with care. Be gentle. You may steam or iron your silk scarves.
If ironing, make sure the silk is slightly damp before ironing. Press the scarf on the unprinted side with a warm iron setting. Place a clean white cloth between the silk and the iron.
